Obama and Biden on questions of
Sen. Barack Obama's choice of Joseph Biden, the veteran senator from Delaware, has drawn a lot of praise from people on the left and those few commentators in between.
Yes, Biden has a tendency to stick his foot in his mouth. But he's regarded as something of a foreign policy geek with a reallife connection to his workingclass background. Oh,[url=http://www.sport.fr/smartphones/moncler.asp]doudoune moncler[/url], and he's Catholic.
Obama has been trying to woo Catholics, who went for George W. Bush in the last election, even against the Catholic John Kerry in 2004, according to numerous number crunchers. And he's also put energy into swaying the new brand of evangelicals those more interested in the environment and the poor than abortion and gay marriage. So Biden is seen as something of a smart move in that direction.
Catholic bloggers, though, aren't so sure Biden is one of them.
Add into the mix Nancy Pelosi's comments on "Meet the Press" Sunday morning about what the Catholic Church has to say about abortion and when life begins, which has ruffled other bloggers.
